WORKSHOP SUPPLIES

Below is a list of suggested supplies and equipment that students are expected to bring. However, please feel free to bring and use whatever supplies and brands you’re easily able to obtain and most comfortable with.

  • EASEL: Any portable easel that you’re comfortable and familiar with which is suitable for painting on location. There’s a wide variety of them available from the traditional French Easel to the modern pochade box made by Guerilla Painter, Open M Box and Easy L, etc. Anton generally uses an Easy L Versa or a Beauport (Gloucester) easel.

  • BRUSHES: Hog bristle brushes tend to work best for oil. Sizes ranging from 4 to 20. Synthetics are also a great option.
